I was curious so I googled; seems like the Kintsuba is a type of wagashi made from red bean paste that has some wheat flour coating.

The world-building is fantastic, the fact that there is a Youkai-in-chief and ambassador means there is this whole system for yokai in the modern world which I really like.

@UnluckyGrape For red bean-based desserts, I prefer dorayaki and taiyaki. Never tried kintsuba before but I ate yokan (which I guess is a smoother textured and more diluted version of the filling?) and it was a bit too much red-beaness for me for some reason.

@Nixnaw I like dorayaki and taiyaki too. I also like manju but it is hard to find in my city compared to dorayaki. I tried yokan too but it is too sweet. From the manga "Gourmet Glutton", I learn that even Japanese can't eat a lot of yokan. They can only eat a couple of slices at a time due to how sweet it is.
