Seeing Sui's ability go out like this.. is kinda morbid, not gonna lie.
Its not. Think of it like... Sui is the Server, All the temporary bodies Are Sui And the Main body keeps all the memories and experiences as if each Sui had not separated at all. .

Think of The Twins from Invincible.(the ones that can actively clone them selves. Not the "twins" that are just a literal clone of the other.) All the bodies are able to move and act independently on there own and at the same time, are still tethered to the main body.
The male Twin while in jail broke out by... well making too many clones. When it shows the main body you can see he is suffering all the same experiences every one of his clones are experiencing, including the death of each "clone".

I do know they're clones and how they work in general.

It's just, Sui always been seen as a kid. You have a bunch of kids here that knows that they have a time limit, and they chose to have fun and play tag before their time runs out. All while seeing each and every one of them disappear one after another.

In Sui's case, I believe each clone is an entity of its own and Sui receives their memories when they go out. The clones were acting simultaneously like true individuals and not like playing dolls remotely. At least that's how I see it.

I probably find it morbid because I got too used thinking of Sui as the team's kid. I kinda agree that it's all pretty normal if you look at Sui as a slime that it is.

welp, they skipped the dragon butchering process, but that should already be covered in the main manga
