JP usually doesnt have gender specific pronouns from what I recall, so gotta wonder what tipped translator off to the lines referring to a "he". Anywone have raws for that panel?
@RelM Japanese usually does have gender-specific pronouns. 彼 and 彼女 are "he" and "she" respectively. There are also words like あいつ that they use to refer to someone without specifying a gender, though. I'm guessing you saw a few cases where they used あいつ but perhaps also cases where the author left out the subject entirely, both of which might lead the translator to state that the gender is unclear.
