So, uh... Kinda don't wanna comment on the moon phases and how quickly she seems to be deteriorating, but, uh... that half-moon depicted is closer to a new moon, and then they show that waning crescent, which is the correct next phase as it then proceeds to the aforementioned new moon, then slowly works its way back to full from the other side.
This means as of that half moon, also called the 'last quarter', there should have been three weeks left before she was about to die coincidentally with the arrival of the Lunar envoy, but it kinda feels like it accelerated the phases at the end, there, going straight from the waning crescent all the way to full moon, skipping new moon, waxing crescent, first quarter, and waxing gibbous phases. Maybe she was unconscious for two to three weeks? Is that the implication? Or did Hata just not want to bother drawing the other phases?
Still, shit... getting her reflections on life and the futility of things. Kinda feels like she wasn't really as at peace with it as she sounded the first time we saw her facing her death back in Vol.16. But then, we got that right as she was about to face the end, so maybe she just resigned herself to her fate at that point. This is her still coming to grips with things as it draws closer.
And the emperor really doesn't understand what he's facing up against. But he will.
