I seriously don't get why there was an assumption he passed away, when he clearly got picked up by paramedics and saved that night, after Tsukasa extended his survival by a bit with her blood, according to the memories. She bolted, he was rescued (Ch.147, Pg.32).
I mean, it makes it so Honda assumed he was just gone, which is an interesting development, but still... Feels so weird when his parents clearly knew he was still alive, and so did his middle school teacher (Yanagi-sensei), and all his friends (Kaname, Aya, Nakiri...). Like... nobody else whose lives he touched seemed to lose track of him, except for Himari herself since they separated so young, of course.
It's a neat narrative detail, but it still feels weird to me, to be honest.
