Too many requests!

Well, this certainly sucks, especially since I had only read one chapter and posted one comment in the lasts couple hours. This is also the first time I've run into this. Anyone else have this happen to them?

That too many request thing, is it like the same one as opening too many tabs?
If yes, what's the limit before you're getting the temp ban?
Cos I usually opened up a lot of tabs lol.

Opening over 20 tabs at the same time (simultaneously, not sequentially) is one of the ways of getting banned.

Also, I usually spam-download chapters in my phone through chrome. Would this ban my IP? Iirc I once set 32 chapters to download then left to let chrome do its thing.

@DANDAN_THE_DANDAN Volume is only an issue when it all happens at the same time, if you haven't been banned yet then it's likely you never will

@Plykiya None. I was using an "out of the box" copy IE 11 on Windows 7 at the time. I switched to a VPN on Opera so I could post here. I've been out and about a couple hours and it's working again on IE 11.

this kind of IP detection is not going to work, its more likely to bring more harm to the readers.

after all CGNAT is a norm now specially on cellular networks, even on fixed lines CGNAT is also a thing.

I also receive this error on my mobile data connection, maybe that IP detection is totally broken.

@remlei Not broken. It only bans IPs that send requests in excess of 20+ per second basically. If you DM us your IP, we can tell you what's getting you banned when it happens

I dont know, Im pretty sure that I only 1 tab instance on mangadex. web browsing on mobile phone is not good as desktop anyway so I always limit my browser tab to minimum, and theres no way for me to open that many tabs anyway.

I didnt do anything special on it, just activate my mobile connection, browse mangadex and read manga there and boom, banned.

edit: to fix it i just activate and deactivate my data to get new ip and whoala I can read mangas again, but theres always a random chance that it gets banned though. using my home internet of course this issue is fixed since my ISP is issuing a public ip instead of a private one that is under cgnat just like what my mobile data do.
