I remember the first time someone told me they couldn't visualize things in their heads or hear their own thoughts, I thought he was fucking with me. I was in 9th grade, I couldn't even imagine not being able to. It's been decades, I've thought about it a lot and I still can't quite wrap my head around how they think. It's just to alien to me.

I remember the first time someone told me they couldn't visualize things in their heads or hear their own thoughts, I thought he was fucking with me. I was in 9th grade, I couldn't even imagine not being able to. It's been decades, I've thought about it a lot and I still can't quite wrap my head around how they think. It's just to alien to me.

I can visualize some things but I’m not as good with descriptions so long books would be hard for me compared to manga form or watching a movie , tho it would be interesting to see a YT “challenge” vid of an artist with that condition trying to draw ppls descriptions

I can make detailed mental images and recreate full songs, voice acting, etc. in my head pretty easily but my big limitation has always been focus. Like I've been going through the Discworld series for the first time via audiobook and it's very descriptive, it give's me a lot to work with but when I set the mental stage, if I'm not careful I start to wander thinking about other things. "Oh' that's a neat concept" and start thinking about how it could fit in another setting, or some other bullshit only to realize the audiobook is still playing and now I need to go back five to fifteen minutes to find where the hell I was. Man, I do that a lot.
But yeah, that would probably make for an interesting video.

Yeah visuals aside sometimes if I hear enough of a singers voice I can sometimes imagine how they’d sing certain songs tho I’d still wanna hear it for real lol

I do feel like I’ve heard things like “I can’t believe there are ppl who don’t think” but it might not be the same kinda process we have, tho it’d be interesting if we heard a diff narrator than our own voice or so, but I’m sure it must be more “chaotic” for someone who hallucinates or is schizophrenic
