Japan likes their clichés. Their culture as a whole is insular and conservative, so old values live longer than they do elsewhere.

Recently finished the Black Iron Magician WN, and this cliché is why the worst character is the one who most closely resembles this female lead.

It's not funny; it doesn't add anything; it only detracts from the story and makes me want the character deleted and retconned into non-existence.
