Finally caught up with the translation, and congratulation on 100th chapter. Still, if we have one and a half times more, and even more after that...ganbare, Sarusa-san!
So, Komugi-chan will strive to get stronger? Will she get her training arc? Become chaperone and reliable ally? Up to this point I only perceived her as a bakery-loving kitsune. Talk about personal growth.
...That hairstyle screams "wife and mother". I see what you're doing here, Goro-kun

I chuckled at "...which they obviously love"

Seems weird, right? But the 'end ponytail' is actually a thing in Japan. Don't know how big a thing, not like I visit the stylish areas much, but I've seen it.
ive seen that kinda style in some mangas before

Deep mental wounds take time to heal, and even though he has gotten a ton of support from his wife to be, her family and the community that has sprung up around them, they can't be erased that easily. Plus, the progress they had made likely got reversed from having that abusive boss come back into his life, and then the fallout from the whole experience resulting in Kogane getting harmed. He's a serious guy with a lot going on in his head, and it's gonna be interesting to see how things develop during the final six months of their temporary relationship.
Exactly this, especially the idea that their relationship has suffered a bit of a reset. It's actually somewhat jarring to see Goro get so emotional at the shrine talking to Tama-chan only to see him seemingly push those emotions away during his and Kogane's six-month anniversary. I've speculated for a while that Goro confronting his emotional trauma and engaging with his emotions in a healthy way is the true conflict of the series. A setback or two is to be expected, but it really has some impact now that it happened.

If grape wine is good enough for European gods, it's good enough for Japanese gods. And vice versa, with their rice wine. Gods don't say no to good booze, from what I've seen. Bring them mead next time.
Mead’s a great idea.
So! Japanese gods definitely accept wine!

I recognize it’s a little bit of a special case(enshrined spirit of once-human emperor and empress), but at the Meiji-Jingu there’s a huge wall of offered European wine (and another of Japanese nihonshu ‘sake’).

And in the wine-growing regions— Nagano, Hokkaido, Yamagata— wine offerings are sometimes seen!
