I'm pretty sure heat shock is a myth, like Korea's fan death. Probably covering for similar societal phenomena, too.

That's quite possible. This was actually the first time I'd heard of it, so I didn't want to just declare it an obvious fake with only 15 minutes of searching 😹 . But I've never heard of it anywhere else either (obviously) and I know there are gnarly old guys who love going from saunas to frozen ponds and back, no problem.

I don't remember which manga I saw it first from, but it's the mythical leeway provided to fluffies in terms of inappropriate (or lewd) scenarios.

Take this shot from Oyome for example. Normal manga would either go with a random sunlight beam blocking her assets or she would have either clothing or her arm blocking it. But because of Kemo-Safe(TM) we get the full shot. It's usually applied to characters not wearing clothes but it can extend to other situations (less commonly). Now that I think about it, it's less applicable with Goro-dad fluffing Kogane. But I'd say it still applies because an old man trying to hug his son's girlfriend just sounds wrong but an old man trying to pet his son's girlfriend's fox form somehow sounds less wrong because "it's just petting a fox".

I'm always interested when Zanma-sensei takes time to point out that Kogane needs to take care of herself, too. Given the lore dump we got about Zanma-sensei, I understand why, but it seemed a little out of place here. Not that I think Goro's dad wouldn't be concerned, it just felt a little out of order. However, after reading the next chapter, I think it makes more sense. Thanks as always to sarusa and Thumper.
