I don't know why Goro bothers to deny the marriage at this point. Maybe he was just embarrassed. I like the theme of looking back and looking forward, which is, of course, what new year's is for. I also noticed the "Childbirth: Easy delivery, do not worry." Zanma-sensei never shows us anything without reason, so I'm excited to see if the new year bears fruit for our happy couple. Im glad others saw this, like who cares about the love, when their biggest issue was about having kids, and considering this is a manga, and a fortune slip with a message that is highlighted for the viewer as opposed to one in real life, that means it will have some significance later.

I also have to say the break out of fortune slip drawing outcomes in the note section made me fondly remember Ghostwire Tokyo especially Great Bad Luck, which was a really hard trophy to get or maybe it was great luck. As the protagonist says, "could be worse, could be better."
