I think the scary part of a "spider wife" is what some female spiders do to male spiders that mate with them.

As far as I remember though, most spiders do not ead carrion/dead insects/stuff they didn't hunt themselves. So it's kind of sad they belittle this woman and spiders as a whole. They could make her actually catch something, like the cover suggests.

Fox girl will tell Spider girl what a romantic relationship is and what it entails.
Guy stops being a stereotypical herbivore and just be honest of what he wants: IE he wants to be romantically closer to Spider girl.

Id love it if she ends up hanging out with Kogane often and starts thinking it sounds really nice to be married. Then she realizes the feelings she has for him are quite similar to what Kogane is describing and starts acting more romantically with him to then discover its a lot of fun and really warm feeling to be like that.
