Should be powerful good luck charmsIf only you could buy Kitsune fur balls
Goro almost gets murderedThe possibility of losing fluff stressed him more than when a stalker disguised as kogane infiltrated his house.
Thankfully, Goro seems to have a good head on his shoulders, so I doubtful we'll get that far. It's probably why I find him so refreshing as a protag that is both mature and responsible and intelligent and doesn't seem to fall into the usual tropes.Ah,The author paid off the "Kogane is working too hard" foreshadowing, and, of course, Goro's true responsibility is to be there for her. Cue "just get married already" memes. At least this hasn't sent Goro into a spiral of "I'm not good enough for her" angst.
My only real complaint with Goro is that he won't put a ring on it right now and start with the grandchildren, but then I do realize from a story standpoint why the author doesn't want to go there yet... he's probably saving that for the last volume. [insert rant here about how finally getting hitched does not have to end a series, but it usually does].Thankfully, Goro seems to have a good head on his shoulders, so I doubtful we'll get that far. Yea, that would be my gripe too that the author wants to save that for the last chapters, but like you said, marriage is not the end of a story, so I don't know why writers tend to do that. Heck, there is even a manga that goes into details of being officially married to a Kitsune and the kid that comes from that relationship: https://mangadex.org/title/c8b7c932-3eaa-4005-81ef-c70f2862b51b/my-lovely-fox-wifeMy only real complaint with Goro is that he won't put a ring on it right now and start with the grandchildren, but then I do realize from a story standpoint why the author doesn't want to go there yet... he's probably saving that for the last volume. That sounds like peak, thanks for sharing that manga!Yea, that would be my gripe too that the author wants to save that for the last chapters, but like you said, marriage is not the end of a story, so I don't know why writers tend to do that. It would also be interesting to see what their kids would be like since i highly doubt their kids would be anything but normal
Goro kinda reminds me of the leads in Mobuko no Koi. The main couple always seem on the precipice of some relationship cliche, but always avert it by being honest and open with each other, despite their insecurity. And it is very refreshing.Thankfully, Goro seems to have a good head on his shoulders, so I doubtful we'll get that far. Zanma Yuu says at the end of every volume that they hope the series is a fun way to kill some time. That's how I feel reading it, like I'm killing time with these characters as they live their lives the best they can (sarusa's daily uploads certainly help this feeling). My only real complaint with Goro is that he won't put a ring on it right now and start with the grandchildren, but then I do realize from a story standpoint why the author doesn't want to go there yet... he's probably saving that for the last volume.
