Dude should just move if the price is because he lives in Japan.
I'm guessing the medicine in and of itself is quite expensive, and it not being in Japan is just making it even more expensive (maybe researching it more, approving, distribution, insurance, etc). But yeah that could be a valid option if there was a Momotaro squad abroad.

Dunno boss, his reasons are fine and all, but I still don't buy the fact that these guys off themselves like it's nothing for him.

Can you even think? Your comment sounds extra stupid to me. Do you know how much healthcare cost for non-citizen in foreign countries? No insurance company would cover for them. And while the manga didn't say, we can safely assume that the medicine is being developed in the US, because that is where most of our curent medicine came from. And everyone knows that medicine and healthcare cost in the US is super expensive, even for citizens. Recently, I read a story where a diabetic American young man died, because he couldn't affort insulin which goes to hundreds dollars a dose. He was a US citizen and a restaurant manager but still couldn't afford his medication. Also, it was mentioned in the manga that the medicine is still in development so it is a trial drug that hasn't been approved yet. It is likely that they are using the money to obtain the medicine illegally.

Even as a citizen in a foreign country, some medicine are just plain expensive. For a non-citizen, the cost might doubled. And I doubt that there is any Momo squad abroad. Oni and Momo's existence is kept secret by the Japanese government. The fights between Oni and Momo are covered up by the government. I don't think they want other countries to find out.

That's why you move to Canada. Duh.
Medical tourism is very much a thing. Weird that you don't know that.
