However, the disguises in this chapter are actually pretty good.
Nothing outrageous, pretty inconspicuous, but still slightly changing a few key features of the character.

That's a much better way to disguise yourself than wearing something that conspicuously hides your face, like a hood, mask and sunglasses that instantly scream "suspicious".
