Ranking is only based on how many strangers you defeat based on what we know so far, it was mentioned in Ch.1

Checking the ranking this early in just means every government, Gardener organization, and powerful entity on the planet who wants to be the best will descend on Japan and try to fight/recruit/murder & replace her.

Glasses Apprentice wants to keep Kino a secret because that way she has a secret weapon/info to treat as a bargaining chip in getting what she wants from her father at the Ministry of Defense - to finally become a Gardener. She can also learn directly from Kino, become stronger, and prove she's good enough to become a Gardener to her father.

Sister obviously just wants Kino to live a normal happy life and get over her crippling social anxiety. If she's having to evade entire governments and ranking-obsessed murderous gardeners, that won't be happening.

Kino....wants friends and a normal life. See "Sister" for why checking her ranking would be bad.

I think her sister should be among the top ten in terms of strength, considering that anyone doing the training is supposed to defeat 4 S-class monsters daily. But her Sister must not defeated any powerful Strangers, because it wasn't mentioned that there is a second Unknown in the top 100 from Japan. The grandpa was probably of similar strength to the sister.

I need to know more about Kinoko's family. Even without misunderstanding grandpa's training regimen, Kinoko's family is busted: doing 4000 straight punches in 10 seconds and hunting 4 S-class strangers daily is still superhuman.

Rather than "let me" it should've been "let her". As in the raw, 見せてあげ is used rather than 見せてくれ , denoting that rather than showing me (くれ) its to show her (あげ).

Hurt her? How? It was more in a literal sense of try to take advantage of her and ill get you since Kinoko is too strong to be hurt by her physically anyways
