I just started reading the novel this morning but have to say, unlike how the start portray itself, this is actually a really sad and mature series, I don't know why it's written the way it is. I guess that's what a novel written with no intention to be serialized are.

It's sad tho even at the end of vol 1 there's a good, solid backbone for lots more volume to be made.

I do feel the tragic undertones though throughout all this... especially when she feels a little off after she got bumped into.
