@VINT64 They are kicking/stamping each other leg. The author is new he doesn't have any other significant works done.There were many things that were weird phrasing of dialogue not just the art that was weird lel

A darkening of the color outside of the panels is one way that flashbacks or dreams or imaginings are sometimes indicated in manga. Another is rounded corners when otherwise sharp corners have been used.

These cues are easily missed. But the use of darkening allows something of a fade-in or fade-out effect.

It was good but that was some of the laziest drawing ever.. it has like 3 different styles in just 4 pages.. but I appreciate the effort.. all I can draw are stick figures... 🧐

Oh, I see, my bad then. The constant artstyle changes and overall art quality made it all but impossible for me to discern that those were meant to be younger versions of the characters.
