It actually makes a fair bit of sense - Seras is their equivalent, but a full-on speed/perception & avoidance build. That coupled with the fact the Trio have to pull their punches because of Cross being right there, means she only has to focus 100% on dodging, and I can fully understand them being unable to touch her.
Seras also having items that counter the debuffs of Telomea is a bit of a "well okay I guess" moment, but as she herself says, she's a thief, and she's built a fortune stealing all manner of treasures and powerful items/relics/etc. - so I think it can be justified and not feel like an ass-pull or anything, and is a reasonable addition to further even the playing field for the encounter.

Not the first place I've seen it, but certainly the second in active combat

I figured we'd get an actual all-out brawl between the four of them, because it's the perfect place for the artist to show off in that respect.
But realistically, I cannot stand how Cross just ....doesn't do anything to stop it. Just some stuttering at the start, doesn't try to clearly communicate what's wrong--and more importantly what isn't wrong--right when they get there. And lets it drag on like this with no effort put into trying to stop any of them. (Because all he would have to do is scream "wait she didn't hurt me stop and listen please" and I wager they would do so, given how much import all four of them put on him.)

I will never understand characters that behave that unrealistically simply to allow "hijinks" to transpire, especially when the consequences of Cross not acting here include the real risk of widespread death and destruction.

But I get that the meta-argument for why he's weirdly mute and dumb in this moment, so I guess that's what takes precedence.
