This filler chapter is a total nonsense. Seriously, that girl needs to die. If not for MC's character development, then for author's.

I mean, she shows to at least only be a stupid fucking piece of shit bitch to MC. She takes her job as adventurer seriously (at least from how she handled the appearence of the level 4 monster) and seemingly worries for all the orphans as their big sister, but is so fucked up in her head from whoever dear to her died trying to become an adventurer while being powerless, she can't stand to look at Cross and worry that he'll eventually die the same way, even more with how desperate he gets about it. Not really enough reason to want her dead as much as in jail and with some trauma to work through there to get her to wake up from her stupid bitch piece of shit-iness...instead of this.

That's in no way enough reason for her to even start on trying to be brutish in her attempts to disuade him, let alone the physical abuse and actively trying to kill him herself or however the author is trying to put the stunt at the forest as, but she at least has redeeming features. NO I DON'T WANT HER TO END WITH THE MC she's fucking crazy in the head in a subjectively worse way than the teachers (instead of encouraging him to develop other traits or to learn less dangerous ways to approach adventuring, she just wants him to not do anything that might be dangerous through his pursuit to the point that she would cripple him for it ...compared to the teachers being willful and moody with their destructive forces and desires). Her being prideful, her second, less aggravating bad trait, is child's play by comparison.

Except she didn’t try to actually kill him. Bakugo from MHA also says he’ll kill Deku (and others) loads of times but everyone knows he just means he’ll beat the shite out of them.

...DID WE NOT READ THE SAME CHAPTER OR WHAT? They're all going full force with both magic and FUCKING SWORDS TO HIS BODY! Like yes, in the logic of anime fights, it might be somewhat equal since he can defend himself, but a sword cutting through a body is in no way the same as getting blown up with explosions, much less in a medieval fantasy setting. After all, even in the best case scenario that they managed to stitch his body back together in time, that would only mean that he was FATALLY WOUNDED AND ONLY DIDN'T DIE BECAUSE HIS MASTERS ARE OVERPOWERED. They'd still have commited murder, and those blows didn't seem glancing, held back, or anything similar.

I'll give you one thing: Giselle says specifically, when springing the trap, "I planned all of this, so I could crush you". Not that she's going to kill him...which because of the actions performed by Giselle's herself seems like a very incorrect expression, either on the acts commited, or in the dialogue. The thing that is actually conveyed there is that Cross is being attacked with the intention to actually kill him.

The problem is the author will most likely include her in MC's harem unless that she's gone. Just look at her suddenly drawn blushing and dere dere which never happened in past chapters. Aside from being crazy, it's like she has multiple personality disorder. The author asks us to just accept that?

And MC needs to learn to not forgive everyone even before they repent and ask for forgiveness.

the TLer made a comment stating that the intent was just to beat Cross up. Plus any dmg that could have been inflicted upon him could be healed with magic or potions. sure it could have still gone wrong in a number of ways but when have kids really ever thought things through properly?

My guess is a lot of people just have a massive hate fuck fetish. That's really the only reason I can think of that they'd be so popular. "God this character is such a piece of shit, I wish I could just break her." kind of thing.

Problem is characters like this don't make me want to keep reading to see them break, it makes me want to drop as I know the author will never break them.

I know Giselle had an utterly traumatic past. But she still took out her suffering on others, especially Cross who is just chasing after his ambitions. But damn.

It's getting harder and harder to hate this TsUndyne straightsword maniac of a tomboy.

This cuteness spilling out makes me even more curious as to how she'll balance that with her obligation of being the orphanage bully.

Let unreciprocated feelings be her divine retribution then *evil laugh
