If Kiriha stays dead I will be incredibly surprised. Killing off two significant characters like that is unprecedented for me. Closest thing I can think of is Naruto and Code Geass, but even then I don’t think it compares to the significance of Kiriha.

I honestly can’t guess what will happen in this series now. I knew it wasn’t standard ecchi trash but this takes the cake

I'm assuming that Kiriha is coming back, but I'm not so optimistic about Kukuri. With this story arc, this manga went from goofy ecchi title with a fun monster-of-the-week to pretty serious/high-stakes. Not the first title I've seen change course like this, but the change in intensity was actually handled pretty well.
