I love Kiriha but I really want Kyouka back, she is so young and innocent that is really sad to see someone like her in that state, please give us kyouka back.

A part of me wanted to see him subconsciously conjure an evil, empty tsukogami, actually kill his opponent, lose the tournament as a result, and become more of a liability than the temple wanted; thereby becoming ostracized by them, or worse, they felt the need to control or destroy him. Hell, maybe that what this iteration Kiriha is.

She didn´t come back from thin air. The signs where there all along also a Tsugomomo never truly dies until it is forgotten by its current owner and Kazuya always had her in his thoughts and heart making a sort of life line she could hold on to really weakly. Carrying her pieces with him always? Faint traces of another tsugomomo besides the ones he saved? Sewing needle tsugomomo liking him and wanting to support him in a useful way? The signs were there. Sure the timing could've been less shounen ex machina but you could chalk it up to the sudden surge of spiritual power waking her up earlier than expected.

For everyone that's going "Shounen Ex Machina"… he lost his partner… that's a tough one to deal with afterwards.

As for the storytelling; we knew the dude had to be beat. It could have been with Domination just as easily, with the same outcome. You have to agree, having our favourite come back to help instead is more satisfying!

@SpacyRicochet Well, those guys clearly think that "some secondary character" dead is discardable and not worth mentioning. Wich means they were not emotionally invested in the manga in the first place, so it's pretty pointless do discuss this manga with them.
I'd be expecting Kukuri to come back to life too at some point
@Chuggoth I am pretty sure gods are immortal by definition. That is basically what makes god-slaying such an interesting crime.
I'm really conflicted on wether I should be celebrating or crying.
"Rejoice, @Acolytus , your desire will finally come true"
A part of me wanted to see him subconsciously conjure an evil, empty tsukogami, actually kill his opponent
@ecchi With how busted substitute doll is, I am pretty surprised old fag is not dead. I guess finishing strike missed?
Also sold fart motivation is even more unclear. While it is true you cannot run organisation on talent alone (well, there are hystorical precedents you actually can, but it's reasonable concern at least), if you bust your means of labour you can't really go on either and you probably should not be grinning about such turn of events.

If you look at it like a seinen romance, it makes perfect sense. Old love interest leaves, new love interest comforts MC, new love interest dies to make room for old love interest to return. Otherwise you end up in Seo-world, where you end up hating MC and author (Kimi no Iru Machi).

This is a manga where Kami & magic are everywhere, so this kind of development doesn't feel gamey to me in light of that. Losing Kiriha (& Kukuri) was devestating & I'm just happy at least one of them is back.

... But now I'm devestated that Kyouka is gone. She's gonna come back too, right? ;_;

Somebody called for the Seo-verse ranter?

Then again, this is technically a shounen.
And with Kirika coming back from her obi form's literal tattered condition, means Kyouka can come back later as well.

Just for the record, the joke was that it's useful to look at it like a seinen romance. *shrug*

It would be nice if Kyouka comes back, but I have the nasty suspicion that a mangaka who sets up MC to re-kill his own mom before she kills him (and even more of the people he cares about)... isn't actually all that nice. I'll be pleasantly surprised if the first person mom kills upon escaping isn't his sister.

Wonderful news, everyone! Looks like the publisher has changed their release schedule, so the new chapter is out. Watch the skies.

And it seems like every chapter we have to remind someone that Gekkan Action is marketed as a seinen title, not shounen.

Also ongoing: It ain't over 'til it's over.

It is essentially a shounen battle manga that threads the needle between ero and ecchi way too far to be published in a shounen magazine. Content equals demographic. Deal with it.

Well if you put it that way, sure.

But if Kyouka does comes back, it just means Kazuya will have more tools (no pun intended) in his arsenal for his inevitable battle with his mom.

@shinya78 It's simply battle manga. You know there is a lot of battle manga published in seinen magazines? Terraformars, Tenjou Tenge, Tokyo ghoul. Shounen doesn't mean anything. Deadtube is from shounen magazine and is gorier and pornier than any of these.
