On an unrelated note, can we appreciate her face on the first panel of page 13. It's such a smug but tranquil face, to me it feels like she's telling us that she was right but doesn't act arrogant about it. So rather than be annoyed, I just end up smiling at how peaceful she looks. Not to mention she looks better when all her hair ends go downwards rather than spiky, also her ahoge defies physics... where was I going with all of this?
On an unrelated note (again). Reading back, It's interesting how Kiriha started off as less brazen and meeker than her future self. In chapter 73 she's less confident in herself to the point that she even let's other people influence her thoughts (something the current Kiriha rarely lets anyone do to her), however her mischievous trait is there but not at the forefront. Now compare that to how she acts in chapter 76 and 77. She's more brazen (though perhaps not as much as when she's with kazuya) and she's more willing to get physical with other people. Really hits home how much Kanaka helped Kiriha hit her stride.

Correct me if I'm wrong, I thought Shirane is a divine being. She introduced herself as the divine messenger and the way she talked to Kazuya and Kiriha implies she isn't one of them. AFAIK divine beings (like Kukuri and maybe even Kokuyou) doesn't wield any tsukumogami, instead they use their own powers/weapons. I could also be jumping the gun and author later reveals that she is in fact a human.

Well Kiriha has never been respectful towards authority figures ever since she's been Kanaka's Tsukumogami. If you look back in chapter 76. Kiriha in the end forcefully strips Kukuri, shows off her privates, and finally does her trademark legsplit on the goddess. The only time she shows respect is to people she acknowledges, such as Nui (her first owner), Kanaka, and arguably Kazuya. So she won't be changing her attitude anytime soon unless a significant emotional event pushes her in to that direction.

I'm ashamed to admit that I don't think much of crow-mama. She's often the comic/sexual relief and rarely have any significance to the plot. Not saying she's not important or valuable to the cast, but she's often put in to the background that I often don't consider any consequences involving her. Though I suppose there are much worse fates. #RememberChisato

About Shirane, the concept of "divine messenger" includes humans that work as the representatives of the god's will, as Kukuri already is the avatar of Hakusan, the powerful one, i think it would be dangerous to have another god so close to her. And i dont think Kazuya is strong enough to give trouble to a god even if she was a minor one, like the one that served our Kukuri.
Dont mind me about what i said, i just wanted to vent a little, i still love Kiriha i just have been a little overly sensitive with some things. And Kiriha's "modern" behavior is totally the fault of Kanaka, the Bisexual God of Arouseness, that woman would go to anyone Kazuya father was just the most courageous one ( man must have some core strength to be able to put two buns in Kanaka's oven).
Oh yes, Kokuyou is totally the relief of the story, any relief for that matter, but i really like her. Her interaction with Kukuri was really sweet, and behind her EXTREMELY strong poker face there is someone that truly cares, and funny enough... she is probably one of the weakest of the bunch.
Who Chisato? XD Poor girl got so thoroughly pushed to the side that i think most people dont even remember her, and unfortunately, i understand why she wasn't much liked, she was played too much as the tsundere and she couldn't hold ground with the other side characters. Kazuya male friends are just too iconic too.
I am hoping that the author dont just plays this fight with Shirane as "he was getting serious" and in the end, he is really stronger than her, Shirane wouldn't be Kukuri servant if she wasn't really capable and she showed that she has some impressive capabilities and i really hope the author doesn't downplay it just to keep Kazuya in the high. To me, this method of downplaying everyone around the MC is a lazy way to portray their strength and weakens the story enormously not only because this series has such an amazing cast of characters this makes the MC growth feel underserved.
It is always more fun when there are other strong characters besides the MC so that we can feel that their accomplishments are real... and this story, in particular, doesn't need to pull the stupidity i mentioned, because there is already a good explanation for why Kazuya is the only one that must kill Kanaka, him being the curse origin and the curse backlash, so no need to downplay people.

but before I get in to my argument, a disclaimer. I disavow any and every child molester and pedophile. Children must be protected from sexual abuse. Anyone who are sexually attracted to children must seek rehabilitation (or at least understand why it's bad and should never seek to fulfill that desire in real life) and stay away from any children.
The core problem of adult-child romantic/sexual relationships is that children cannot consent. It is universally agreed that children do not have the proper cognitive and emotional understanding of sexual relationships and thus cannot consent with the knowledge and understanding of the consequences. Which is why it is regarded as taking advantage of children, regardless of the pedo's good intentions. In other words, pedophilia is looked down upon because the act is taking advantage of, and damaging children. This is also the reason why CP is Illegal because it (again) takes advantage of children even if they are compensated with the same amount or more than their more mature counterparts.
Now answer this question. Can you say, beyond any reasonable doubt, that this manga's illustration (or if you're more generous to me, every loli/shota illustration) involves children? Can you prove that the artist involves children posing in the nude and commiting sexual acts for the artist to draw them? If it is yes, then I agree that this manga's author has committed serious crimes and should be punished. However if no children is involved and every illustration is from the author's imagination, then why would this be a crime?
Who is harmed by someone imagining a person with a childlike body in a sexual relationship?
Children? But there are no real life children being involved. And saying imagined children is the same as real children will lead to thought crimes (such as imagined murder is the same as real murder).
Now that's not to say that people and societies are stupid for having aversion towards erotic loli art. Having an instinctual disgust towards what looks like children in dangerous situations is natural and understandable. However, it is important to understand the underlying reasons why certain things are illegal and not miss-attribute it to essentially harmless things.
