still better than that random ass book arc (that wasn't even part of the main plot) that lasted for 2 years and where the author wanted his fucking characters to prostitute themselves if the editor hadn't stopped him. but yeah, tsugumomo needs some actually good story arcs instead of these dog piles. how about bringing the mc's sister kazumi back into the fight? just help him defeat mommy and have a prolonged epilogue where he ties up all the relationships with the girls and tsugumomo's?

Only reason im not digging this arc is cuz its feeling like itll go down the generic "badguy's target gets captured despite everything so now we have to go on a rescue mission arc" route. If this whole shabang fails, it'd just be wasted chapters. Granted theres been some good character development here and there but not enough to make up for if the arc turns out to be a nothing-burger

Kingdom: was published in 2006, 800+ chapters, 5 anime seasons, MC is now general leading his own army.

This manga: published in 2007, 173 chapters, new chapters are 50% hornee and 50% dogwater, MC still a virgin with plenty of experience in crural seggs and breastfeeding play.

He wants to steal the tsugumomo crystal ball and this attack is a diversion.

I am not surprised people forgot about since the pacing is dreadful, too much is happening and at the same time nothing that is happening matter.
yeah, i think the whole attack on the temple arc is kinda too broad spreading, what with Sunao, the Shrines, Curse allies... not even counting that Kazuya and crew should come back at one point to complicate things even more

Seigi and Megabuchi could have probably never gone to negotiate, or downright never existed and the arc would feel the same

Yeah, some folks are just being hung up on the Domain Expansion "copycat" part and decided to sour the entire experience.
I couldn't give less of a shit about the domain expansion stuff, the pacing is just unbearable ever since the arc started.

This is legitimately the worst arc since the weird Pseudo-Isekai arc that was like 90% contrived torture porn.

Seriously guys... at this point i don't even know what you want from this manga anymore.
According to the comments everything after the the sealing of Kanaka was a dogshit arc.

He isnt because the arc starts with "Oriobana have died" at the end of chapter 161.

The whole thing seems to be delaying the final confrontation with Kanaka by having a freaking rescue arc, this is something long running series tend to have as the author have a idea and then develops it were in this case is Kanaka "returning" and Kazuya having to fight his own creation leading to a potential lethal backlash but there is really nothing beyond that so instead of just going for the natural conclusion the author starts delaying, the series have its up and downs with the Isekai Book Arc being the author-totally-didnt-want-to-make-a-Isekai-story-despite-having-no-relevance, whatever this arc is (likely so we have a rescue arc to last 2-3 years) being low points and Yomi actually being a good one, the usual shennenigas aside it was clear cut to what they needed to do and how they achieved it.

This arc have some redeeming factors but at the same time, they could been done without this being bogged down since we really dont care about most of the cast because we know at this point they are irrelevant, we also know the series have a clear ending point and so diversions dont work, this is something you do at about the first part of the story, such as what Nue Exorcist is doing, as the reader doesnt know what the end story is exactly and characters have room to be expanded upon ... now? Not really because all of this is happening without Kazuya being present, this will be a done deal by the time he arrives.

Them going into the afterlife was one of the best arcs in the entire series

Also the span of time that took place after the flashback backstory about his mom but before Kiriha came back to life was peak

I only disliked the "isekai" dream arc. But the reason is a thing i have against all dream arcs. And this is the fact that being a dream it all feel like a waste of time. Once waking up everything is going to be reset, and nothing that happened matter anymore. Everything happened to the protagonists and between the protagonists "it was just a dream".
Always hated this crap.
