Not gonna lie, that's one of the most stupid "nice guy" syndrome start for a manga that I've seen... An MC literally useless that's only kept around because he is "nice" and "cute"? I know it's common for this kind of (wet) dream fantasy manga to have harems, power ups from nowhere and stuff... but at least in other manga the MC does actually something else besides "being nice to others"... there is maybe later an actual reason for him being the center of attention even tho he is useless, but that was such a horrible start that I really don't want to know... oh boy, if weebs already had the stereotype of not knowing how to socialize and how really the world works... this kind of manga solidifies more the stereotype. I am all in for trash manga but even I have my limits, instant drop.

I'm actually here for it. For one thing it's not like the MC is "totally useless" it was more he was great but the others were geniuses if he defeats 50 while they defeat 150 in a world where a "normal person" could maybe beat 10 then he is still stronger than most just not "the pinnacle". It also seems like you skimmed the chapter because he was always doing intense training to keep up with them (which they were very aware of) and that he was always trying to do his best in his own way to keep the team going. So it's not like he's "doing nothing". Also there is probably more backstory beyond being "nice" and "cute" but, again as this story's title has itself pointed out we are starting at the Epilogue.
What I think it really boils down to though is you read this entire chapter expecting not to like the story from the plot premise alone but hoping for it to do a massive 180 in tone and when it didn't turn out that the MC gets betrayed at the end and dies so he can become the "awesome" edgelord guy in his next life you were left disappointed.

Actually it's because of the food he makes too (and most likely any other chores that he's a literal GOD at).

I mean, who wouldn't want a house husband/wife that can do anything while you're out on an adventure.

Great start, interesting premise, book mark. Mc feels like subaru from re:zero in the way despite not being strong directly, they're presence as a mediator/emotional support is so powerful it can move pwerful groups into motion, Basically natural Leaders.

...Is there a twist where this starts to makes sense? It feels like one is implied yet it unexpectly hasn't landed yet. I can't figure out whether this is going to be cleverly subversive of the genre or completely brain-dead.

Though it could I suppose be enjoyably brain-dead, I guess, if the whole of the series is just him unreasonably getting along well with absolutely everyone.
