except there are some stupid dps whos whole reason to play dps is to over-aggro tank and then to tank boss/adds itself and to die just to flame tank for not tanking properly xD

The funny thing is, that was an HELL of a bluff by him. Had she known the effects of the abilities he used, she would have seen that as an easy win. Her plan to get distance was a great one had she not got scared of his display of power she could have taken him out.

Smart play right there. Honestly, he’d probably have lost if she hadn‘t surrendered. Yeah he’s crazy strong but she’s got way more range than him and he just dropped his defense to 0 and his HP to like 20%.

she could’ve just taken shots from a distance and he’d have fallen eventually. Or maybe he’d have fought more conservatively, though that’d still be a tough win since he lacks speed. Either way, bluffing was the right call.

From what I understand of Elma's explanation, Spell-swords are glass-cannons whereas Elma is a battle turtle. When he activated Life Shield, Half-Dead Savage Dragon and Relentless Vigor, he became an even bigger glass-cannon.

I love how the author is finding creative ways for Elma to win the battles while staying consistent with his powers and limitations. Yeah, he won only thanks to the psychological warfare.

Another important detail was that he purposely set up his scare tactic before showcasing his power: "Hey Guild Lady, is it okay if we end up killing the enemy?"

The bratty at first scoffed his question but when she saw his display of power, she quickly remembered that he was going for the kill and this conviced her to make a decision.

And while Elma is acutely aware of the risks, and possibilities, of glass-cannoning, that spellsword is obviously only drilled in the risks.

I do find it rather silly of people to think she's not powerful. She is.
And would be doubly so if she'd learned to use the value of Elma as a Tank to allow her to do her Thing at appropriate range and opportunity.
The weirdness of this world is that no-one else has figured this out. It's as if the world is populated by snooty, theory-crafted "meta" builds that .... Oh wait.. that's the usual co-op problem in MMO's isn't it? ...
