I think most readers just keep on reading to see how much worse it can get or they still hope for some kind of happy ending for Est (knowing the author's perception even a happy ending will still be a kick in the gut for Est)

I have seen the raws for this manga. It's already completed up to chapter 30 or so, and the LN also ends at the same point in the story, cut short due to low sales (because it's really bad).

Without spoiling anything of importance, Est's "happy ending" is as infuriating as his whole narrative arc has been so far, the author has no idea what the implications to his writing are and keeps it up until the very end.

Athena praised Frey for apologizing, Athena needs to learn from example and do the same with est. This manga focuses too much on the 2 scumbags Athena(the promise breaker and throws away her longest friendship for very petty reasons) and Deru(he deserves to be abandoned for him posing as a caring person while at the same time purposely trying to make Est even more distant from Athena), the party stardust deserves every ridicule they got and more plus disbandment.

at this point i'm convinced i'm reading an entirely different story from the rest of the commenters. daru hate just seems so forced and fabricated. nothing i've read so far in the manga justifies any hatred for him and none of the spoilers people keep posting justifies it either. everyone is just basically mad that est isn't the main character instead.

I came in here to comment that it seemed like it might be some time travel Daru (since he seemed to remember the rest of the party from the future - the similarities were too high to be just his previous party) - but the other comments here imply it's just something else.

Well, I guess future TL-work will let me see.
Either way, thank you to the scanlators for their hard work.

Yeah, their reason for kicking Est is bs at this point.
If you can tolerate other members for being subpar but still growing, why not give the same chance for Est?
If you don't want Est to die, why are you happy that he's still adventuring? In the first place, why did you have to kick him in the worst possible way.

They just kicked Est because he was bothering their romance.
