Being seinen doesn't mean it'll avoid certain cliches though, the story was always about the characters becoming stronger without Est, so it's just a question of when Miralia gets stronger, if now and saves the day or later, I give it 50/50 chance she'll pull new power out of her ass.

At least that's what's written in the plot summary. In reality nobody in the party becomes stronger (especially Athena). Miralia and Daru just stop smurfing (making Est's banishment totally unnecessary; seems more like they wanted to eliminate a rival without actually killing him).
