I'm hoping Dale sees Athena as nothing but a daughter figure and is watching over her as like a last wish for someone close to both Dale and Athena cuz its weird to have him be so close otherwise, and no way would I imagine anyone would want to hang around the shitty elf for that long otherwise. Bro clearly respected the other homie enough and had faith in him, but respects Athena's desires more so I think there's a little more to his presence in the party.

Yes, it focuses on the party. The party that did something out of good intentions, but did it stupidly, and regret their actions.

Not because they fail, they grow just as Est does, and failure's part of that. But because things can never go back to the way they were, and they know it was their fault.

Honestly, for all complaints, I found it a refreshing story. They're not assholes, they genuinely did things with good intentions... But intentions mean jack and shit after actions.

Honestly? Dull would be a better name for Daru/Dale. Not cause of anything bit he seems to be someone who tries to not give himself too much attention. Might start reading the WN just to see where things will go before the next chaoter gets updated

You know, if they truly care about the banished homeboy, they could have hire more people or asking advice from veterans/instructors from adventure guild to improve him, instead of kicking him out without his input and talk badly about him. The author tried to paint the homeboy as an asshole still doesn't change the fact he is a victim of his party's stupidity, and unnecessary cruelty.
