Well I don't know how I should feel about Darou. He seems like a kind slacking and experienced middle aged guy with sad past (something that gives him motivation to be a teacher and good teammate) with some hidden ability and just want to help his dear friends without any romantic tendencies. You all know this type of character. On other hand It seems like he clearly rizzin the beauty right now. Its MOST LIKELY only jbait and first guess is correct, but who knows.

Sure it is, if you ignore that Daru didn't go this far for Est, their banished party member. But his grace and charity isn't for anyone male, so there's that.

He has a power limiter on him because his previous party died due to his uncontrolled strength. Which he can adjust to fit the fight as needed. So he basically could've carried Est and Athena with no issue and they wouldn't have banished him in the first place. But they needed to get rid of the obstacle, so... there's that.

He keeps on Trucking and puts out really stupid points of conflict where Daru is smelling like Roses and Est is somehow supposed to be the target of derision and hate but ends up backfiring on the author. Est is sympathized and the party is head diving into being complete asshats.
