When they mentioned purifying a land of miasma, I kinda figured that it was gonna be the demon world, and once they got there to do it they'd have to compete with Tia in some way as they had conflicting goals at that point (as she needs to use its mana).

I guess that could still happen, but at least if they're finding it out now, they wouldn't be forced into opposing groups suddenly when they find each other there.

monthly releases are why we have the story at the quality it's at and the length it's at
weekly releases should be stamped out entirely as a lot of mangaka's have fallen ill because of it

The story so long has been really enjoyable. I like that they are expanding on how Tia got to Ed and it’s not a random asspull. Still, the artist behind this is way too talented. Especially, the way they draw Tia makes her ridiculously adorable. In terms of dumb analogies, it’s like what Mick Gordon did for Doom.

I like how the author put this much effort into building just one world (albeit it's probably the most important one to flesh out, for the same reasons that game devs put a lot more resources polishing starter locations in open world games, than say some location in late game), like the process of inventing something is not just "here's a convenient super genius character who can basically come up with anything out of thin air", like with many other isekai and fantasy type stories. But it instead involves a smart person going through the accumulated work and ideas of others before them, making a breakthrough, and coming up with a new invention. There's implication of a whole process being involved in magic research with many scholars and institutions, much like how science works in the real world.

I doubt that in the first page they're proud of selling over 400k copies of the manga so far, it seems to be a commercial success in Japan.
