Is it stupid? Kind of, considering that he already was with the same party for a year + 6 months. On the 2nd run he had quite a good dynamic with her. If they will start as "friends" in chapter 19, this will be IDIOTIC beyond compare by the simple logic that he already holds hear dearly and it is freaking obvious that she also regards him as something more than a friend (who the fuck would travel to unknown space without chances of return and possibility of dying during transportation).
Next point is, he is over 100y old memory vise so was the ELF. If he is a virgin.........I would not believe it that during 100 world encounters he wouldn't find anyone that fancies him or that he fancies.

I agree with you. It's not the banal school setting with autistic MC and tsundere FMC. He is essentially 100+ years old she is also the same age. It was clear that they had some chemistry going on. So if they will start as friends (they were already....) it would stupid beyond compare.
Like you can show us married couple without sex (read some fine manga like that). Some mangas portray years going by they might even have children AND 0 SEX SCENES. But the dynamic of a couple is clearly shown. That's what i was basically saying i want to see, a power COUPLE, if we see friends...well it's just yet another disappointing manga/novel.

True brother,i dont really care about sex scenes,just i want to see love between them,sex its 1 thing in 100 Total,I would just like to see a love story, that's all!! This manga sure is a rollercoaster. It goes from "oh hey a totally normal manga, seems pretty cool maybe I should try it out" to "WHY IS IT SO DAMN EMOTIONAL EVEN THOUGH IT SHOULDNT EVEN BE THAT EMOTIONAL, WHY" to "damn that filled the hole left from that emotional part" then back to the "WHY SO EMOTIONAL MAN" then again to the "that filled a hole again". This manga is better then it seems. Art 9/10, characters 8.5/10, storyline(so far) 10/10, character development 8.5/10, overall around 9/10
