What's the point of this? I am more than happy with MC kicking the crap out of this guy, but at the same time, wasn't the plan to have Waffles 1v1 him and win while MC saves this guy's sister? What's there to gain from MC beating the crap out of him right now? Does he want to publicly humiliate him in order to stop the sister from being kidnaped (since a guy that loses to a human wouldn't need the incentive to throw the fight against Waffles?). I just want to see Waffles fight man.

I think he is fighting Doben to win his trust since Doben only trusted those he considers strong (plus his sister). And by winning Dobens trust he can protect his sister and ask him to not hold back against Waffles
At least that is my theory

So far, we see Doben’s reasoning for hating humans is that they’re weak and use Animalians as meat shields. Showing how strong Ed really is will likely break, or at least crack that.
I think Ed wants to befriend them, accompanying Mimilu throughout the tournament, Ed and Tia can "protect" Mimilu without revealing the real reason why.
Also, most Animalians share Doben’s view of humans and treat Doben as a hero. Gaining his trust could affect most Animalians as well..

The design of the city, and the background art, is more than well made... it is creative with interesting angles and perspectives.

Even the little details to add cultural relevance are well made... for example, the Animalians like to use carpets instead of tables and chairs when relaxing.

The city seems like it was carved out of a rock formation, but there is a clear intent in how it was designed.

The artist has put a lot of thought and work into it.

yeah the art is so good. They do an amazing job of drawing battles and epic moments. They know just how to make those scenes great.

But waffles are specifically cooked between patterned plates (waffle iron). Crepes are cooked on a pan or griddle so they don't have the pattern. No matter how you look at it, those are waffles. It's the same thing in Europe.
