Edit: Fixed page 3 because the wording was bothering me.

For anyone wondering I believe it is supposed to be as vague as possible, there's no afterword or character introduction, everything she mentions is completely one-sided without knowledge by the kid or us, if she's not some Youkai that seems to be looking after that family for whatever reason, then my 2nd best guess is that she's actually his Aunt but has some sort of obesession with him and his father, hence why she even propsosed living together, last phrase is 「子たち」rather than「息子」so I don't think there's an "actually their mother" angle to it though.
