Webnovel reader here, yes always has been an overly annoying character haha

If anything they were more annoying in the WN, if for no other reason then everything needing to be in text rather then illustrations doing a lot of the work.

i looked it up, the "rotsgard academy" arc sort of started up at chapter 66, when makoto gets to the golden highway but gets abducted by the goddess. that was officially published all the way in august of 2021. its been 5 years since the arc started, and the arc is probabaly 2/3rds on the way there. out of all of the arcs in the webnovel (which is what i read) this arc is probably the most boring one, and they decided to spend 5 whole years adding bloat to it.
i dropped this years ago, naturally, but i came back to check what it was up to.
is it just from my perspective that theres so much bloat in the story? do people actually enjoy this?

Well, I started reading this late, like 2 years ago, so I'm still patient

And I've read so much worse academy arcs in other mangas, so I'm quite tolerant too
