@Gyges I think that they just destroyed the buildings, I'm not sure if they killed everyone in town in the process. But considering how cold the MC has been about death, that wouldn't surprise me. lol

@SSS26032002 It's not even really a town, it's an outpost deep in the wasteland, the rich people sucking money out of it will probably notice, but no one else will think it's weird for it to be over run by monsters.

Pretty much. Because of how the MC's personality is, he doesn't truly care about the inhabitants in the town. He is just annoyed they destroyed it. As far as I can tell, he doesn't do things how a stereotypical hero would do. He places people into one of two lists... people I care about/make effort to save or aid, and people I don't care about/no effort to help. Pretty much everyone starts off in the latter list, then get moved into the former if that person is kind enough and willing to help, even for help in return.

The quality is just irritatingly bad, even though there are raws online which are basically flawless.
I put this manga "on hold" before, and just came back to remind myself why I did so before.

I hope some time in the future someone uploads this with a decent quality, because this story otherwise seems interesting to me.

@GrimGriefer I believe the manga is just exaggerating the damage, and the town was more of a pirate alcove than a legitimate town.

@optiso Unfortunately it was not exaggerated. The LN also explains no survivors (witnesses) other than the group. It is a legitimate frontier town.

In chapter [extra 30] it is hinted there were more survivors though, although im not sure they are referring to the same group.
