@SugarArirang, it's not just you — I was thinking the same thing. Since Cathy isn't really a common name, I was wondering why they choose it. I've known... one Cathy? Maybe two? But countless Sarahs, Lisas, Hannahs, Rachels, and Jennifers. I wonder if the Japanese use "Cathy" not because of its Western frequency but because of how foreign it looks and sounds to them. After all, names like Sarah and Hannah sound an awful lot like Japanese names and fit easily into hiragana, and Lisa/Risa actually is a Japanese name.
