The author of the Ln apparently destroyed his own story.
From what I heard, after teasing a harem ending for the whole series, the MC then chooses one girl, even though that girl was advocating a harem.
Imagine Momo or Rias changing course midway to be only girl after an entire series of pushing harem. The backlash was apparently so bad they put the next volume on hiatus and and haven't touched it since, so its basically cancelled from what I understand.

I started reading this 3362 days ago way back in 2011, and when I finally get to "finish" it in 2020, all I see at the end of this manga is no ending... feels bad man.
My thanks to the scanlators who finished this despite the manga getting axed.

Amazingly I never knew it got axed... updates simply stopping is the easiest way of forgetting a manga exists.

Ah, I remember reading this back in high school, when the"transferred student is now my girlfriend" genre still popular. Everything was bad except the art, always knew it was going to get axed eventually.

Edit: Apparently the reason it got axed is another sissy author who didn't have the gut to follow what they started.

Kogayashi, the Quintuplet, Hayate,... why do all JP authors behave like this?

Are they scare that if they write a harem ending, eldritch abominations will appear and devour them or something?

@Snowbold Ah that's stupid. So MC confessed to one girl. Granted it'd be a little messy but considering how the other girls feel and that polygamy is normal in the demon world and girl he confessed to ok with it doesn't mean MC would cut ties with the others. For example, Ouka was rejected but was determined to win him over and not give up.

I have read translated novel so I'm not stressing too much over the story. It's a good thing story has a conclusion even if it isn't to everyone's liking.

Welp that was the biggest jebait I've gotten recently. Went into this expected to finish up some good old ecchi manga in my reading list, It's too bad I really wanted to see that harem ending.

The numbering of 36-41 is a complete mess.

"36" contains 36a, 36b, and 36c.
"37" contains 39, an unnumbered chapter presumably 40, and 41.
"38" appears to be a duplicate of 36c
39-43 appear to be correct.

The correct order appears to be "36" (which actually contains 36-38), 39, 40, 41, 42, 43.
