Still wondering how they're going to address/resolve Takae's current family situation.

What Mai is afraid of in this chapter is going to happen sooner or later, isn't it? I feel bad about her, but damn her parents are the ones I care about the most.

I think the implication is that Mai's issues stem from the dad screwing up after the mom died. Hopefully the letter helps resolve that in some small way.

oh yeah mom start dating a 10 yo kid np you are over 40, what! nooo dad can't date a young woman over 20 bc muh family. Welp for people thinking she doesn't have a 30 yo mentality, you would be surprised, that's exactly the age people can get a bit weird if they are still living with their parents.

I'm happy Mai's getting her feelings out. Sometimes your feelings are selfish, mean, vindictive, etc., but it's not healthy bottling them all up inside. I hope they work this out eventually.

Also, Mai's mother needs to handle her own mother. That women is annoying.

I know Keisuike was in a tough spot, but yeah this was a hard truth that he needed to hear.

yeah from the way things are shown it looks like Mai lost both her parents.

Isn't Mai being kind of a hypocrite? Wasn't she trying to tell her mom to move on before?

@jak Sure, but I think she actually explains herself pretty well. She was definitely for that when it happened, but along the way after the shock of what happened settled, she realized how much of a literal treasure just getting to meet again despite all reason truly was, and it changed her perspective on the matter.

That man waiting for his friend who is obviously dead at sea to show up again despite the obvious truth that he is gone and he needs to move on... Meeting him and hearing his circumstances really synchronized with her own emotions. Her family actually got that miracle, and it would be hard to let it fade into nothingness.

takae herself should be aware that there is also possibility her memory will fade and she come back into regular elementary kid, the way she's preparing her husband to move on and remarry again is the correct thing to do, but it just isn't expressed enough i think, mai seems to aware about the possibility she would never see her mom again, but keisuke sure is dense and isn't very considerate enough about his surrounding
