@Guytsu Okay I am not saying that is a problem as it is obviously reasonable to marry someone when they become of legal age. The problem is that anyone stupid enough to admit to already be at such a close relationship to promise to marry a child later on when they are in elementary school is a HUGE problem. How many grown adults do you know seriously promise to marry a child when they grow up? Lets not even get into the vast age difference.

Look I understand the part where the guy reunites with his wife and wants to spend the rest of his life with her but there is clearly shit you dont say to your co workers of all people. Especially shit that could get you into trouble with the law. If you dont see how that is stupid to say then try telling a co worker you promised to marry an elementary school child when they become of age.

This was addressed in a previous chapter (Aquarium one). The guy got caught on the deep end after finding his love a second time. Also, he's airheaded (That is canon).

Is it realistic? no. (Well, there are real life cases of people losing common sense/propriety after a loved one comes back from coma, probably)
Does it continue of the story's logical progression and character development? Yes.

You hear stories all the time of fathers promising to marry their daughters when they come of age and stuff like that, but nobody ever holds the father accountable or accuse him of being some sort of creep. Obviously you naturally assume the father was just going along with her innocent, childish wishes and didn't really take it seriously. Why would you assume the same couldn't be said for some other guy doing the same thing? Telling someone you promised to marry an elementary school girl when they come of age is an odd thing to do, but if someone were to say that so nonchalantly like that, I think the obvious response would be "that's cute", not "you're going to jail!" because most people wouldn't think you were being serious about it. These people know the MC, and like and respect him, and in their mind probably never even considered that it was a serious statement.

@Guytsu Okay there is a HUGE difference between a father and his daughter and a man and an elementary school child. Stop justifying stupid behavior and if I have to seriously explain the differences then OH BOY. You could get away with the co workers know the guy or this is not as a realistic story but stop trying to deny it is incredibly stupid to say what he said. As I said if you are so confident about it then go and say it to some co worker in a completely serious tone and see how it pans out.

@Zman27 yeah hence why I said what would realistically typically happen. Well it is a bit exaggerated but still you would agree it is a stupid idea to say what he did in a realistic sense right? I get that he is an airhead and could further the plot but seriously he needs to learn.

I also stated that it is an odd thing to do directly in my above post yet you claim I denied it. @Guytsu Him wanting to marry a girl as soon as she turns 18 and asking her to do so when she is an elementary schooler is veery creepy, I understand that she was his ex wife in her previous life but he is still very cringeworthy with no ounce of self awareness. You brought up the Daughter and Father comparison and I stated these are 2 completely different situations with huge differences and it doesnt just stop at "thats odd" with his statement. I kept telling you it is dumb to say what he did and you keep trying to make the statement seem less stupid as it is so let me explain this for you.

A kid daughter will say a lot of dumb stuff and if they say they will marry their father then we say it is silly and cute because children dont know better. Also there is already the family relationship so typically there is nothing wrong.

Now we get to what is happening here. A grown man stated he is going to marry an elementary school child as soon as she comes of age. So no family relation. This is normally seen in most modern society I would hope to be an EXTREMELY bad and weird statement to make unless for a joke. You do not typically go "that's cute" if it is a grown man saying it in a serious tone as grown adults should know what they are saying out in public. I have asked you twice to think about and if you were serious then say this to a co worker and see how that pans out. Now you ask why would that be wrong? If you are going to marry someone it is not only a serious commitment but would imply you are already in a loving relationship typically with the other partner already. Note THE PARTNER IS A ELEMENTARY SCHOOL CHILD. DO YOU SEE PROBLEM NOW? A man states he will legally marry the child when she comes of age which legally speaking nothing is wrong but societally speaking and possibly morally speaking there are red flags popping up for people if they were to look at the situation from the outside. So yeah ADULT men should not be seriously stating these things out in public.

I have been quite fair in this and I have not insulted you in any way and if I did, I did not mean to intend to but I am trying to tell you what the guy said is not something someone should say out in public as it could invite a bad reputation and possibly the law. Do you understand my point?
