I'm pleased by how the Nijimas are taking their respective sides of the overall status of things.

Dad is kinda curled up and crying to his daughter, but is keeping his composure in front of BF-kun. Mai took the opportunity of the sudden meetup to finally introduce her boyfriend, making the news less sudden. Dad's still a crybaby though, so the cry for help to Mom is understandable lmao

Mom's, or I mean Takae's mother... is bouncing off of Takae pretty nicely, in response to Takae deciding to keep everything clear when it comes to the Nijimas. Clarity leads to understanding, and consequently an easier and more pleasant air within one's home. It's nice to see.

Well, Dad is officially much more of a wuss in Takae's mom's eyes. Somehow the interaction at dinner led to one party knowing something more about the other. It's a success!

Bro I really hate how Takae and Mai hide everything they can from the father, like you cannot trust him? is him that useless ?
And most of the times theses "lies" (I consider these omissions of important information to be a lie) are taken down in couple of chapters so there is not point.
