I don't think it's implying the grandchild is in danger. The danger simply is that getting behind the wheel of the toy will make him want to start killing again, but the grandchild doesn't fit his profile, so he has no reason to go after him. The men he killed were all early 20s
He didn’t seem to have any indication that he chose them for any specific reason though. It could just have easily been the age range of your average taxi customer, so I wouldn’t rule that out yet even if I’m more inclined to think he’s gonna go for the general population instead.

That could be the case, but serial killers tend to have a specific type of victim they go for, so I assume the author included that line about the victims to hint at that idea

Thats a lot of time spend on this guy
I sure as hell hope it wont just end with MC reading his mind and then killing him without any difficulties again
So far they just showed us a crime happening in great detail and then MC speedruns it in record time

Arguing that a kids environment has no impact on what kind of person they grow up to become is so insanely silly you shouldnt even be acknowledged
Also he stopped, show he didn't need to kill,he only needed an excuse to kill, plain and simple

Considering he’s at “retirement age” now it’d be concerning if he was hard to take out as opposed to during his “peak”
And Spica being a passenger unless she plans to do it in front of his family for some reason and we get a prison arc lol

If her simply not blackmailing him to stop so his family wouldn’t be sad /shocked versus him having Alzheimer’s by the time Spica talks to him

Youre right, but he still deserves no sympathy, you hopefully agree with that, were talking about a guy that murdered more than 10 lives for reasons the police would consider petty

Also, his father was abusive, not murderous, if he inherited "dark urges" should they be at the same scale and nature? He doubled down from pushing lit ciggars into hands and spanking all the way to lethal strangglement and murder in a horrid way

Reading this chapter actually made me think about the killer in real life who hasn’t been caught yet. Have they ever felt guilty about their heinous actions? Or they just simply forgot it and moved on with their life?

You think a kicked dog will stop at kicking back? Dont be silly.
Its kinda funny how discussions on mangadex always make it sound like humans are rational machines
Humans are emotional beings
Illogical petty behaviour is the MO

Id say youre so right youre missing the point, the brain very much follow trends and patterns. Its very machine like at how it follows reason
Said Reason, moral or not, is still reason
The reasoning the old man used came in form of an excuse, he labeled it the "dark inheritance"

And for that, he deserves no sympathy and is very much unredeemable

Thats one part that bothers me... Why does he has a profile?
I would assume he would kill only men of relatively old age (because of his father I guess). But men at their 20s and women at their 30s? Does that ages have any meaning?

Will the toy car fully reignite his urge to kill. He handed in his license already, so will he go through all the steps needed to get it back in order to kill, or will he find another way?

I really like how the story seems to have adapted from a mystery to more of a thriller.
