huh, on cubari it's listed as 'deadly matchmaking' tho i guess marriage makes more sense

I can't even be mad a the guy because I was a teenager once, and I was also as dumb as he is

ngl it's amazing that there's not more teen pregnancy scares in animanga romcoms but i hear jp has slightly better sex ed than here. well, at least you weren't convinced by some convict to poison anyone though lol. But if anything i wouldn't be surprised if spica had to go up against a full on cult leader

Frankly given the fact that he lives in a town in which 1 in 10 people are serial killers, not just regular killers, but serial killers, it is a miracle that this boy has made it so far

He will survive this, against all odds, he is the one guy that can deliberately go chase serial killers on serial killer land, and not get killed

So if anyone could stick their dick in a crazy serial killer, and live to tell the tale, it is him

You may be surprised to learn that sex ed has no effect on teen pregnancy. American Journal of Public Health performed a meta-analysis on the roll out of sex ed classes in US states and found that 74% of studies showed 0% change and 26% showed sub-2% change.

Whether it's the religious abstinence-only teaching or a comprehensive course that includes all contraceptives. Both equally worthless.

The main driving factor from the 90s is that parents put pressure/guilt (The Talk) on their children earlier than ever now because of all the media scare about it.

I used to think it was the big spike in hormonal birth control for young teens, but Japan has almost no one on the pill and still has an ultra-low teen pregnancy rate so it's definitely not that.

eh, either way in some shoujo/josei stuff it's less likely 'unwanted pregnancies' versus the "our marriage is sexless but i really want a baby/had an affair with someone else to have a child" from what i've browsed

might be a cultural thing , it is still asia where 'overweight' by their standards might be average for us as well as acquaintances going "my parents would disown me if i got a C" can't imagine how some families would react to unwanted pregnancies

But in the context of this story, a pregnancy scare prolly isn't the worst thing that could happen to him xD

In the hell hole that is North American urban planning where you need to walk 15-30 minutes just to exist the suburban residential area, then another 15 minutes to walk / bus to the convenience store, I think horny young teens would opt to skip buying condoms.

Meanwhile in every other country who's urban planning wasn't lobbied by wealthy and burgeoning automobile companies, most convenience stores are 5 minutes away.

So as long as they know what condoms are and have discreet access, I think that's the biggest difference. Also perhaps masturbatory aids like Tenga are easier to buy, but I'm not sure.

Oh wow, that's really interesting. Can you link the study or article you got the first figure from? I'd like to read what else the authors had to say.

I can't find this study on Google scholar, other studies seem to contradict this claim. I am disappointed as I enjoy it when science disproves common dogma.
