Eh, I'm kinda for it in this case. Girl is definitely not in a headspace and needs to sort her own crap before she's ready for a relationship.

The specifics of "Lets take things slow until my life isn't a mess and I can think for mysef what I want" could have been handled better, and we can debate the timing and manner of Makoto's post-nut clarity realizing she needs needs to have her own head sorted if she wants to have a successful relationship.
