To the TN Note on the last page: It could be referring to the NEXT Spring which will be when she graduates.

For reference, the raw says

Isn't it referring to how they have moved on from the whole love shenanigan rather than won't be seeing each other anymore?
Like, previously the only special thing binding them together is Chiba's attraction to sensei, but now that she have moved on, there's no special bond between them anymore.

Still tho, this one wrapped up real nice.

Mmm, that makes a good amount of sense.
Not so much that they're unbound from each other, but that they're unbound from feeling so awkward that they never talk anymore.
I suppose I was too stuck on finding an explicitly romantic interpretation.

I'd say this is good closure, even without an actual hook-up. Thank you for not falling into the teacher-student relationship trap, Kirihara.

@Tcof iirc, chiba never actually confessed to sensei.
the closest thing to that is the one where she said that she sushi sensei and then patty explained what sushi is to sensei right after chiba ran away.

also, their last chapter is the christmas one fyi, the one where sensei saved chiba from some playa.

I’m okay with this. I wanted them to be a romantic couple but Chiba will have a better chance when she graduates. Her love will persist.

I'm impressed. I didn't think this one could be wrapped up as nicely and gracefully as it was.

It's a little bittersweet, but I'm totally satisfied. Much more than I expected I would be.
