One volume to go.
Only thing I want to mention is that I realized after seeing all the character's call the MC "Cristoforo" is that everyone's names(at least the main cast) should've been Italianized, i.e. Chris->Cris, Paula-> Paola, Gilbert->Gilberto, etc. I know nothing about Italy, but I can see how knowing that might have helped make more assumptions about the setting.
That's all I have. Decent volume, but while I commended the author's dedication to foreshadowing, I was a little underwhelmed by the volume's' "climax". The organ idea was kind of cool, but while I didn't find it believable enough to wowed, I also didn't think it was awesome enough to be worth believing. Still pretty cool though. I'd love to see those scenes play out with actual music in something like a movie.
And really, I did not need to be bludgeoned in the face repeatedly by the author's "hints": "ThEY mUsT Be RelATed SoMEHow." and "THIS CHARACTER REALLY LIKES HAVING HIS WAY WITH VILLAGE WOMEN. HOW DESPICABLE." and "Wow Chris, you act exactly like you're a Lord's son!". Yeah, not subtle at all. I honestly thought I was misinterpreting some of those lines where Fran flat out said Cornelis and Chris were "connected" somehow.
Again, I really do appreciate how planned out it seems though. It makes me think the author put at some thought into the plot and makes me want to check out his future works.
