You may want to consider combining partial chapters into one whole chapter, or at least a batch release (i.e. 4.1+4.2+4.3+4.4+4.5+4.6 ---> chapter 4).
You can expect to get a fair amount of feedback on many things after you've released some chapters.

I appreciate that mc has a weak (unspoken) connection to his mom where as everyone else as a clear reason to their initial problem between mother and daughter, makes the main conflict more uncertain of he’ll become a better son and accept his mother rather than feeling inferior and toxic competition.

The story and the Anime (see the OVA) hints at it, but is NOT, you may look up how the LN ends.
They heavily sexualized the characters to the point of having an almost kiss in one of the OVA and having the characters designed by an Hentai artist but it is all BAIT.

Should have had him grow out the complex and make a family within the story, which is what any mother would want, instead of this spineless nothing-bait-burger.
Is like when Manga/Anime waste time doing yuri bait, is just cruel and dishonest, I don't even follow Yuri.
