I agree. I wonder if that "telepathy device" is actually a mind control device. Stuff like that which is put directly on the head is always risky.

Her ambition to 'unite the continent' and 'unite humanity' makes her sound like a Melra worshiper who wants to spark a war between humans and the demons. And weren't there a couple princes who also said something suspicious some chapters back?

That's called the "royal we". It is used to show that the ruler speaks for their kingdom as a whole and is the embodiment of the country.
