why should he get op or even close to that for the story to be good? do you desire wish fulfillment that much? is it not good if not op? it is not good if he doesn't act like 99% of the protags go full sentimental and get a power up plot device out of his ass? is that how it is now?
no i don't think so, he doesn't get op because this novel is realistic, people just don't become stronger by becoming edgier or by doing 2 push ups. gaining some future knowledge and some mana isn't something that give you insta power up too, you might think it's been a long time with the slow update but i don't think even a year has passed in this story, and why should he kill the demons when his first and formost objective is protecting the humans,if there is a faction in them that can help him accomplish that goal then there is no reason or need to kill, and as if he could fight them anyway, this is not a crappy op unrealistic manga/novel, the power of an individual or a small party can't do anything to an army, and don't even get me started with making a human army and how much time that would actually take
so basically, don't project your fantasies and stupid expectation on this manga. this is not made to make you feel better about yourself..
