They cared about themselves foremost and then they might have cared about some of the mortals, mortal actions (like war, medicine, exploration, etc), nature, or other aspects of the world. Such gods and goddess, as capricious as they could have been, would still be easy to understand and predict.

Gods always seem to be depicted as humans with superpowers, but perhaps that's just a proper illusion from the Gods.

It's kind of irrelevant in the end but it was fun to think about. Kail really ought to just do what he wants. If he wants to treat the God as a human with super powers and proclaim that he will save everyone, it's a fine choice to make. At least it doesn't seem to want to impede that goal so it won't pose much of a problem.

This feels in line with how gods have typically been depicted or interpreted. Classical gods of Greek and Roman mythology were always partial to their own kin or followers and would smite others when favors came from them. The term "favored people" also show up from time to time in the holy books of the Abrahamic religions as well.

Also, why should gods care about the moralities of existences like ants beneath their feet?

Melra also mentioned the god Murna and vaguely implied that followers are exclusive to their gods.
Melra for Humans and Murna for Elves.
The gods don't interfere with each other's affairs and let their followers sort it out.
Her followers are doing what she wants and that's good enough for her.

This is just a guess but their relationship with the gods might follow a game of the gods setting.

I don't think it applies at all if you don't think other races are inferior. That's kind of the main requirement for racism.
